Tent Camp: Ferne Clyffe (September 2017)

My brother and I loaded up the truck and took a short trip to Ferne Clyffe.  While we were there I did some hiking on Happy Hollow trail.  I also did some fancy cooking.  The primitive sites were empty, probably because it was a weekday.  The sites were perfect for the big tent set up.  There was plenty of wood to be found about, but I did get poison ivy while gathering it up.  I wish we had more time to explore; we will definitely be returning next year.

Click through the pictures above; most of them were taken on the Happy Hollow trail.  The trail was very nice and well kept.  A large portion of it is an equestrian trail, so the path was very wide.

One of my favorite things to do while camping is cooking.  I don't think anyone should limit themselves when camp cooking, it can be as simple or fancy as you want it to be.
